Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the Hijri calendar?
The Hijri calendar in Iman Path uses the Umm al-Qura calendar system for reliable date conversion. While lunar calendar dates can vary by one day depending on moon sighting in your region, the calculated dates are consistently accurate for planning purposes.
What Islamic events are tracked?
You can jump straight to 11 key dates in the current Hijri year: Islamic New Year (1 Muharram), Ashura (10 Muharram), Mawlid (12 Rabi al-Awwal), Isra and Mi'raj (27 Rajab), the 15th of Sha'ban, the first day of Ramadan, the Battle of Badr (17 Ramadan), 27 Ramadan (commonly observed as Laylat al-Qadr), Eid al-Fitr, the Day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha.
Can I get notifications for events?
There are no custom event reminders yet. The app sends an Eid Mubarak notification for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, a weekly Jumu'ah reminder on Friday mornings (you can turn it off in Settings), and during Ramadan your Fajr and Maghrib notifications become Suhoor and Iftar alerts.
Does it sync with my phone calendar?
No, it does not add events to your phone's calendar app. Inside Iman Path you can pick any day and see its Hijri and Gregorian dates side by side.
